Who Am I

meI was born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada and as a child was involved in a variety of sports, being a member on many community teams.  Even though I attended church since I can remember, it was only after attending a summer camp when I was 10 years old that I understood what I was "counting on" to get me to heaven (my own good performance) wasn't enough. That I was hopelessly in need of a saviour.  In high school I began playing volleyball at a very competitive level and during this same time a good friend invited me to his youth group where I saw what it really meant to live for Christ.

In my last year of high school I was offered an NCAA Division I volleyball scholarship to Bowling Green State University. During the recruiting process I realized that the head coach was a Christian! I believed that in many ways God was answering my prayers and dreams. Those years spent at Bowling Green not only helped me to grow academically and athletically but in my relationship with the Lord.  Along with my coach, I was involved in leading the sports ministry to athletes. Iin 1998 I competed on an international ‘Athletes in Action’ volleyball team in Poland! While I never planned to return to Poland, God had other plans.

After graduating from Bowling Green, in 2002 I moved to Poznan, Poland to be involved in planting a new church.  God taught me so much during that time, including the Polish language and I developped many relationships with Poles that are dear to me.  Recently I have relocated to Southern Poland to work with Josiah Venture, an organization that equips youth leaders throughout Eastern Europe. I am delighted to be able to work alongside Polish believers and once again to be able to be involved in sports ministry to build His kingdom!
